Animal Rescue Groups of North Carolina (www.argnc.com) is initiating a new animal coalition for the NC Triad Rescue Community to assist with the possible issues of over-crowding, hording, collecting, distributing food donations, transportinganimals, abuse / neglect etc. in addition to helping or assisting law enforcement and concerned citizens. c C.A.R.E. for Animals will be a self-regulatory, investigative board for all animal rescue organizations by researching reports of over-crowding, negative feedback from the public, etc. before a rescue organization is reported to official authorities. The goal for c C.A.R.E. for Animals is to help a rescue organization get back to properly caring and providing for their animals in order to avoid official measures. Our goal is not to police, but to help. Another issue faced by the rescue community at large is rescue organizations or citizen that doesn’t want help, the one that needs it the most, but will not take it for reasons of pride, control or simply a desire not to be found in that situation. If a rescue organization has too many animals, it can contact one of the volunteers who works within the network to find other rescue organizations or resources that are not so overwhelmed. If a concerned citizen knows of an abusive situation involving an animal, c C.A.R.E. for Animals can assist in networking the proper authorities. The goal is not to police, but to help. If interested in applying for a volunteer position with c C.A.R.E. for Animals please email care@argnc.com. c C.A.R.E. for Animals welcomes donations of animal food, medical and cleaning supplies, office supplies from the general public, too.
