The Amazing Pet Adventure was a GREAT success
in spite of the weather!!
Thank you to all the vendors, animal rescue welfare groups and all the people who came out in support of the event. Most of all a HUGE Thank you to all the volunteers who helped, without you this event would not been a success.
The Amaizing Pet Adventure was one of the few fundraisers I've done that was more fun than just work to raise money (even though that's what we were there for). I had such a good time!
~ Tricia Macombe, USERL
What can I say about the Amaizing Pet Adventure except "Let's do it again next year!" I am so happy that Market America was asked to help sponsor the dog show, we got out of it so much more than we put in. It was a great time for all and brought awareness to the community about homeless animals. The day was filled with friendly smiles and lots of happy dog barks and kisses. Ginny Thanks for such a WONDERFUL EVENT.
~
Brandi Quinn, Sponsor & Volunteer
You are a champ and you made it happen! What a wonderful event and great turnout. Thank you for all you do for the aniamls.
~ Emily Bird, Fox8
In my experience, animal adoption affairs are hard work! This was the most fun animal adoption event I have ever attended or assisted with and if this isn’t made into an annual event, I’m going to go steal the corn from the Corn Maize in protest. Thank you to Ginny for the exceptional organization, to Donna and Tony at the Corn Maize for providing a fabulous venue for the event, to Kevin at the Corn Maize for help with the planning and to all the rescue groups and vendors who attended to help make it a great success. I especially thank the rescue groups and vendors for being so cooperative during the morning “rush hour” because we could not have done this without the incredible patience and understanding demonstrated by you! Come back next year and I promise you will be AMAIZED at how much better it will be!!
~Robyn Edwards, Rescue Roadie
What a wonderful event this weekend! We had a great time and great turnout. The venue was perfect! Congrats to you on a job well done!!!!
~ Beth Marcus, Humane Society of the Piedmont
Saturday was GREAT!! It was fun, and everyone that I know that went said they had a GREAT time. When everything is counted, will you share the totals for $$ raised?? I bet you slept ALL day Sunday. You did such a great job!! I am so proud to know you and to be a part of what you do. No matter how little my part is, I am proud!!
~ Tra Meier, Volunteer ARGNC
I was very pleased with the interest that we received from the event... I'm still making follow-up calls. I'm glad that we decided to attend, & I'm sure we'll be there again next year! As for suggestions, I would say to make the weather cooperate better next time, but everything else seemed great to me. Keep us on file & give me a call anytime you set up these kinds of events in the future. I'd also love to have you as a client if you think you could benefit from our service personally! Thanks again,
~ Mitchell Perry, Pawsch, Inc
I’m glad the event went so well with the poor weather. I thought you did great and there is no need to apologize to me, it’s all about the pets. I run Animal Hospital West in Winston-Salem and the teaching I due is mostly at the Forsyth Humane Society & Animal Control to help the volunteers.
~ Dan Thompson, Animal Hospital West
We really enjoyed the event. Joe and I got to meet so many people and their pets. I thought that it was a great turn out event though the weather was not the best. We look forward to being a part of the event next year.
~ Kimberly Turkett, The Gourmet Paw
I thought it went really well overall. Your volunteers were helpful, especially Robin. My main suggestion is that the vendor spaces be numbered next year. There was some confusion. Thanks for thinking of me. My bows were a hit with pups. I think I have found my new clientele.
~Lara Williams, Owner www.byLara.org
The amaizing pet adventure was a great success , there was a wide variety of activities and crafts for everyone to enjoy. I am looking forward to the next event!
~Carlyne Keck, volunteer
We just wanted to thank you for letting us participate in the Amazing Pet Adventure. Except for the weather, it was a great day. We took several applications on our dogs and had a constant flow of people looking at our rescue dogs. It was amazing considering the weather, people starting coming in right at 10am. For a first time event it went very well and the Maize facility is a great place to have that type of event. We look forward to being a part of next years event. I know it will only get better.
Thanks again. All the hard work and organization, that went in to making the event successful.
~ Sue Rogers, Ruff Love Rescue
Our group had a great time despite the soggy weather that threatened us in the days before the event. We had a great turn out of folks meeting our rescue dogs and I love the venue. Hope we can do it again next year!
~ Beth Patterson, Foxdale Independent Rescue
This event was so sweet. It was interesting to observe the various types of rescues there and the diversity of pets for adoption. Everything from special breed, to any breed, makes you really understand just how many dogs, and cats ,out there that need our help. In my opinion, there is not a greater charity in the country than that of our animals as they can change so many peoples lives. The healing power and lessons they are able to give us are endless. Based on the weather I felt we had an incredible turn out
and know that next year will be even better!
Everyone participating was delightful to talk to and had a great animal story to tell. I look forward to joining you next year
and at future events of this type. Thank you for all you do...each one of us really can make a difference.
~Jill Joyce, Directions USA
You did a great job, there were lots of volunteers around, and all in all it was a great day. Thanks!
~ Kitty, www.taillesscatrescue.com
I thought the event was a blessing to be apart of and would love to be apart of it again next year!! It was awesome to see the community and the rescue groups come together to raise funds and awareness about all the animals that need homes. I will sorely miss all the animals I got to know while volunteering, and hope this gave them a better chance to find a loving home.
~ Stacy Shipes, Volunteer
We would like to say thanks for having us, we really had a good time. It was really neat to see all the dogs and the shows. Anyhow, we really appreciate all your hard work and for including us. We look forward to working with you in the future.
~ Tiffany Kealing, Sunset Stables
Saturday's Pet Adventure even though the weather wasn't the best was still fun and informational. I always enjoy meeting new folks and the rescue organizations are the best. It is so encouraging to meet these special people who love what they do. The silent auction was great, I even bid and won a purse at a great price. The Western Dog show was FANTASTIC! And it was all for such a great cause.

I just wanted to send out a quick email in regards to “The Amazing Pet Adventure” that was at Kersey Farm this past weekend.
It’s hard to believe this was the first year for this event since everything seemed to be put together and organized.
Here are some additional thoughts and comments about the event
Great stuf: the advertising for the event on Fox 8 was great! I felt like this gave the event a lot of exposure. I saw the ad several times on television and when I mentioned the event to people they would say “Yes, I saw that on Fox 8 news”. I also saw the ad in AWB-Art of Well Being-full back page advertisement.
Staff-Volunteers - The people helping you and you especially made the event a very pleasant experience. I think the many volunteers that came out on Saturday were awesome. Everyone was very nice and helpful. I appreciate the tent and the table and the wonderful hospitality.
I personally appreciated the responsiveness to my email with questions. I would email with questions and felt like I almost immediately received an answer. This is very important, especially toward the end when the weather was not cooperating. It was nice to know, okay, at 2:00 p.m. I will know for sure if this is a go or not.
